HOLY MACKEREL!!!! (well, perch actually)......
Another first for me was to be able to go fishing. Back home, for me, fishing is very much associated with a childhood image of blokes sitting in the rain on a Sunday waiting for their dinner to be ready, or for the pub to open.
Well, theres a personal stereotype smashed!
The fish were practically jumpimg on to the hooks.....
I was very proud of myself for being brave and handling the bait and removing the hook and all that 'gorey' stuff!!
Of course, you should have seen the size of the one that got away!!!!
