CAPROCK CANYONS....This state park is 2 hrs south east of Amarillo, near a town called Turkey, Texas.
(Incidentally, I learned that Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird fot the USA!! Hmmmm!?)












The high plains give way to the rolling plains and result in a canyon formation where the 'caprock' has eroded.

I went hiking there with Lisa from school.
We met a man who said us 'ladies' should be careful on the trail cos it was 'rough and rugged'!...
