The last day of school and it was sad to say goodbye to my kids and parents....

THE ROAD TO RICH'S!....
Ramah, New Mexico - about 6 hours west of Amarillo and well of the beaten track.
Rich Martin has celebrated his birthday for the last 13 years (he's 53, not 13!) by hosting this bluegrass festival at his home. By happy coincidence it turned out that Rich was originally from Amarillo and actually went to school at Avondale where i teach......weird,eh?!!

One of the traditions at Richs is to do tie-dying, which we did in ernest, but the results are displayed next year..guess ill have to find my way back!!

















I was given another bumper sticker to add to my collection....'Kinky' Friedman is running for orofice in Texas this year. With a name like that, how can he lose?!!

ANOTHER STANLEY MARSH CREATION....

As well as Cadillac Ranch and the Signposts, Mr marsh installed these legs in a random field outside of the city limits





























They were inspired by a poem by Shelley called 'Ozymandias', about the remaiins of a colossal sculpture found in a desert somewhere....



......and just the other week he painted on a pair of socks!!!

They remind me of David Beckhams legs! I like to think of Marsh doing it to pay hommage to the forthcoming soccer 'World Cup'!

Tyler went to Vegas and came back married!! ...whoo-hoo!!
